How Robotics Will Make the Jetsons a Reality
We all remember the popular cartoon The Jetsons, and we all loved the future they portrayed: everything was automated! Well, as far as I can tell, we’re not quite there yet, but we’re getting there. Robots play a more significant role in our everyday lives, and more will soon be commonplace in organisations, our homes, and across industries.
As our reliance on technology grows to make us more productive, we push for devices that make our lives easier. If a robot can do it for us, we feel like we are getting one step closer to reaching that Jetsons-esque future we have always dreamed about. But what does this Jetsons’ dream-like world look like?
There is more to come from robotics engineering. I believe the next big step will be AI and robots making autonomous decisions in the future. For now, let’s take a look at how we got here and answer the question: can robots replace humans?
