Augmented reality will offer a digital layer with endless possibilities because it can be used anywhere at any moment and deliver a unique experience depending on your location and where you are looking.
However, while augmented reality is likely to have a bigger impact on our lives than virtual reality, it is also a lot harder to achieve, as you are dealing with the chaotic and ever-changing real world that you cannot control.
In the coming years, we can expect the technology to catch up, and sleek AR glasses will become the norm, most likely replacing our phones and computers towards the end of this decade.
